Yep, that's right... As of June 18, 2012, I have spent half my life with "the one my soul loves". (Song of Solomon 3:4)
To celebrate our 18th anniversary, we had dinner alone at probably the best restaurant in the area--the best I've been to anyway. El Jardin (HAR-DEEN) means "the garden", and I wish it had been daylight because the garden was immaculate.

| Suspended bridges are everwhere! This is the one we crossed to get to El Jardin. |
These were our meal choices. Hubby had steak, roasted potatoes, and a bunch of veggies. I chose SHRIMP! Yes, those that know us know that Hubby is severely allergic to shellfish. These were grilled, so I really didn't have any concern about juice splattering across the table. Also, having them on my plate meant he wouldn't dare take anything off of it. I've learned a thing or two in eighteen years!
And the chocolate cake was divine... or was it sinful? Could it have been both?!

This is one of the parrots that lives at El Jardin. It was pitch black, and this was taken with a flash, so it's not the best pic.
But you get the point. |
