Yep, that's right... As of June 18, 2012, I have spent half my life with "the one my soul loves". (Song of Solomon 3:4)
To celebrate our 18th anniversary, we had dinner alone at probably the best restaurant in the area--the best I've been to anyway. El Jardin (HAR-DEEN) means "the garden", and I wish it had been daylight because the garden was immaculate.
|Suspended bridges are everwhere! This is the one we crossed to get to El Jardin.|
These were our meal choices. Hubby had steak, roasted potatoes, and a bunch of veggies. I chose SHRIMP! Yes, those that know us know that Hubby is severely allergic to shellfish. These were grilled, so I really didn't have any concern about juice splattering across the table. Also, having them on my plate meant he wouldn't dare take anything off of it. I've learned a thing or two in eighteen years!
And the chocolate cake was divine... or was it sinful? Could it have been both?!
|This is one of the parrots that lives at El Jardin. It was pitch black, and this was taken with a flash, so it's not the best pic. |
But you get the point.
