Sweet Santiago came to live at Casa de Fe about a month ago. He is a precious baby boy with many health issues. Santiago appears to be a newborn, but he's not. I believe the doctor said he estimated his age to be around 6 months. Santiago was born with only a very small portion of his brain. The medical term, hydranencephaly. He has a hard time regulating his body temperature, and he recently had a feeding tube inserted because of his difficulty swallowing milk/taking a bottle.
It's hard to look at a baby that seems so perfect (when you assume he is a newborn), knowing that medically, he has no hope. Unless the Lord chooses to give him miraculous, earthly healing... he will die. We accept the Lord's perfect, Sovereign will. We have chosen to praise God for every day that Santiago has, to love him, and to care for him as best we can.
Will you join me in praying for his healing? Whether here on earth or in Heaven, will you petition the Lord for this?
