Dalila (Dah-lee-la) came to us just four days ago. Her mother brought her to Casa de Fe saying that she had no work and no home. She asked for us to keep Dalila until she is "back on her feet again". It may sound crazy to the Northern Hemisphere, but this is actually fairly common here in Ecuador. The mother reports that Dalila is 2 years old. Our pediatrician and director believe she is closer to 3 or 4. Whether the mother's story is true or not doesn't really matter. What matters is that the Lord has brought another child (and therefore, another extended family) for us to love and minister to.
Will you pray with us for the physical and spiritual well-being of Dalila? Will you pray that we can be salt and light to her extended family as well?
